The Packard Clipper Touring Sedan first hit the American streets in April 1941, our model is a replica of the early vehicle which was only available as a four-door sedan car built by the Packard Motor Company. During that first year, 16,600 vehicles came off the production line with a few thousand following on in 1942 but World War II arrived and the Detroit factory turned to making munitions instead.

The military took advantage of its availability as we see here in a plain drab green with the USA Star printed in white on the driver and passenger door and across the boot. Even the Packard Clipper name, the bumpers and wheel inserts are the same khaki colour.   However, the interior is moulded in ivory, including the seats, floor, dashboard and steering wheel. In place of a normal number plate, the front plate has four white stars on a red background while the American Stars and Stripes flag is printed on the rear registration plate.
