31211 1/700 Taiho Aircraft Carrier
This is Tamiya's 1/700 scale plastic model of the Taiho Aircraft Carrier Kit - Tamiya 31211.
This is the Taiho assembly kit, an aircraft carrier completed at the end of the Second World War in March 1944. Built with a new conceptual design, she was anticipated to be a major force in Japan 's Mobile Fleet but was sunk by a submarine attack after just 3 months. Distinctive designs of the ship have been reconstructed appropriately, such as the armored flight deck and the enclosed bow. There is also a powerful depiction of the bridge and anti-aircraft armor. Modelers may choose to design the ship's mast in either the sailing or combat station role and the elevators can also be mounted up or down. The kit includes parts to represent fighter Mitsubishi A6M5 and torpedo bomber Nakajima B6N. Measures 369 mm when fully assembled.
